VehnReich
The podcast
on society, the future and culture.

Another podcast? Yes, exactly ours!
Who are we? We are Martina Veh and Marie Reich. Two women, both
directors, Martina in theatre and musical theatre, she is also a graduate engineer of
Marie works in film and television. Because of our profession we are always
curious about people, moods and themes. We have a great interest in
all social, artistic and political, but also everyday subjects.

The Corona situation has brought a great speechlessness and silence into our lives.
Few contacts and thus few conversations, which are also always a great source of inspiration.
source of inspiration. This is now to change with our podcast! Our goal is to finally get back in touch with
with interesting people about exciting topics and to let others share
and to let others participate.

Through our professions, we have access to wonderful personalities, often well-known to the public, from very different areas.
well-known personalities from very different fields, with whom we can talk.
get into conversation. But it is just as important for us to meet people who are still unknown and who are
who are luminaries in their fields. These will certainly also be
international guests, due to our own network.

We believe that many people are more deeply interested in culture, music and social issues - and that they enjoy it.
and that they enjoy learning more and broadening their horizons as well as our own.
our own horizons.

As presenters, we two directors meet TWO guests on ONE topic in each programme.
We see ourselves not so much as interviewers, but as conversation PARTNERS.
We want to create an atmosphere - like the one at the end of every good party - when the last guests are in the kitchen.
when the last guests meet in the kitchen to talk about current topics.

There will be about 7 podcasts on 7 topics over the year. We start in May
2021. The year is set under a certain philosophical motto, usually a question.
In the first year, our question is: What exactly is solidarity? (or perhaps better: What
means hope?)

Within the framework of this motto, we will ask all guests the same question at the beginning and end of the podcast.
the same question to all guests. The podcast will conclude with a tip on an event and a
book recommendation from the two guests.

Every year has certain anniversaries or other commemorations and birthdays. Such an event
we want to take as our theme, which comes up again and again in the podcast year. That means, we have about 2-3 programmes on the same topic, always from a different point of
different point of view with different guests.

1. "WHERE TO WITH OUR DEMOCRACY?" What does the future of our society look like? we ask ourselves with the opening of our conversation today:  Theatre Director and Swiss Honorary Consul Guy Montavon meets author and scientist Prof. Dr. Frido Mann.

2. The guest today is Antonia von Spiegel, a doctor of anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine. She had the first corona cases in Germany at her clinic. She works in paediatric anaesthesia and is an emergency doctor on the road with the fire brigade in Munich. She meets Myriam Karst, the publisher of the German edition of the men's magazine der Playboy. She has decided to become self-employed and set up her own publishing company. In the course of this, she took over the licence for Playboy for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

3 How does a film get to the cinema in the first place? How did our two wonderful guests get the idea to work for the world of film? What is currently changing in society and in the industry? What does the future of storytelling look like?
These and many more questions are answered today by French-born arthouse film distributor Fabien Arseguel, founder of Alamode Film, and cinema owner and festival director of the Five Lakes Film Festival, Matthias Helwig.

4. we talk to the cultural promoter Otger Holleschek and the author, journalist and deputy editor-in-chief of the culture department of the Abendzeitung München, Adrian Prechtel.
Two magnates of the Munich cultural world! Otger Holleschek is a free-moving enfant terrible among cultural organisers who questions the usual venues and customs of cultural institutions.Adrian Prechtl describes himself as a political aesthete who likes to put his finger in the wound of our time. Since 2006 he has been deputy head of the cultural editorial department of the Süddeutsche Zeitung with a focus on film.

5. Meeting Eva Hönigschmid from Dachau near Munich is an enrichment for every life, for young and old, especially nowadays. She is 101 years "young" and bursting with energy and courage to face life.

6. What interests us today is health and the human spirit and how these two things are connected. We also talk about fears and how we can face them.
We talk to Dr. Norbert Kriegisch, known to many of us from radio and television as a doctor, especially a family doctor for 37 years in Munich. He specialises in interference field search and other healing methods and has also studied philosophy, as has our conversation partner Dr. Norbert Loth, who founded the Society for Hypnosis in the early 1980s and has been working as a psychological psychotherapist specialising in hypnosis in Munich ever since.

7. Today at VehnReich we are enchanted by two extremely interesting gentlemen from the great world of cuisine and food.
We will be talking to the entrepreneur and star chef Philip Jäger and the author, food philosopher and theologian Johannes Bucej. These are our topics:
How does one come to set up one's own restaurant with catering services in the summer of last year, of all times, in the middle of a crisis?Philip Jäger has dared to do so.
